Academic studies, qualifications and work experience

  • (March 2012 – June 2012) Android applications programming course from Miguel Hernández University of Elche, Spain.
  • (Sept 2009- July 2014) MSc on Telecommunication Engineering at Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, Spain.

Work experience:

  • (May 2013 – June 2013) DogUMH project. Role: researcher and developer. Description: development of a robotics guide dog for blind people.
  • (Sept. 2013 – Jan. 2014): Virtual reality judgment project. Role: researcher and developer. Description: development of a virtual reality judgment using WorldViz platform.
  • (Feb. 2014 – July 2014): Rosetta project. Role: researcher and developer. Description: design, development, programming and assessment of a haptic device with both kinestesic and tactile capabilities for virtual surgery and rehabilitation applications.
  • Currently developing PhD inside the Industrial and Telecommunications Technologies PhD Program (TECNIT). This research focuses on electronically characterization of soft biological tissues for haptic rendering in robotic surgery. The main research topic is microwave engineering applied to non-invasive blood glucose monitoring systems.

my research interests are on:

  • Medical Robotics; surgical robotics; surgery simulation; computer-aided-surgery; surgical navigation.
  • Rehabilitation robotics; virtual reality for rehabilitation.
  • Electronics and computer science applied to bioengineering.
  • Microwaves: Microwaves, Electronics and Computer Science applied to bioengineering.

Current research projects:

  • Since 2014: Develoment of Glucolate, a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring system based on microwave technology.
